Women’s day workshop
The Women’s Day workshop training focused on practical strategies to help participants better understand risk, strengthen situational awareness, and respond effectively in challenging situations. Through guided exercises and real-life scenarios, the women learned simple and effective techniques to help protect themselves while building the confidence to act decisively when needed.
Beyond physical techniques, the workshop also created a supportive environment where participants could learn, connect, and build resilience together. In a field traditionally dominated by men, these programs help create more space for women to train, grow stronger, and take ownership of their personal safety.
Strength, Skills, and Confidence for Women Professionals
An introductory Jiu-Jitsu workshop was held for 10 amazing women, including diplomats and journalists. Jiu-Jitsu not only promotes self-defense and physical fitness, but also helps build strong communities, boost self-esteem, and improve problem-solving skills by teaching participants to think quickly under pressure. Seeing these incredible women train, learn, and enjoy the experience was just as rewarding for me as it was for them.
Preventing violence against women
In many parts of the world, women still face safety challenges in public spaces, workplaces, and everyday environments. While broader change is important, having the knowledge and skills to recognize risks and respond effectively can make a real difference in how women navigate these situations. Seven women from the NGO sector chose to attend the workshop and invest in creating a safer environment for themselves and those around them.
